A letter from the co-founders
About
the society.
Tilberry began in 2022 as a Slack workspace for eighty senior women in product management. We had been having the same private conversations in DMs and over coffee for a decade — about reorgs that arrive as fait accompli, about the disappearing IC track, about being the only senior woman in the cabinet, about the negotiation conversation we did not have, about the founder who left and the one who didn't. We wanted somewhere those conversations could be the point, not the side note.
Three years later we are 2,400 members across 4 cities and the society has a proper structure. Monthly intimate dinners. Monthly virtual panels. An annual two-day retreat in the Hudson Valley. A 5-year archive of 184 recorded sessions, with full transcripts, indexed by topic + speaker + date.
The conversations are still the product. Everything else — the platform, the privacy controls, the curated journal, the weekly member newsletter — is the workshop where we keep the conversations. We will not become a SaaS or a 200-person staff org. The size is the constraint. The hosts are members. The topics are decided in advance. The privacy is per-field. The cost stays at $35/month because it is what we charge ourselves.
If a current member has invited you, you can apply on the next page. We will write back within three business days. We turn down about a third of applicants. We are honest about why.

A few things we say no to.
- Founders looking to recruit. The society is a peer space, not a hiring board. If you'd like to recruit from this audience, the LinkedIn search bar is two clicks away.
- VCs scouting talent. Same as above. We are not interested in being a deal-flow funnel.
- Sponsorship. The platform is funded by member dues. There are no paid placements, no sponsored panels, no enterprise tiers.
- Junior or mid-career applicants. The society is for senior women in product — Directors, VPs, Staff PMs. Eight or more years in product is the floor. Earlier-career members would not get the conversations they paid for.
- Open enrollment. Membership is by referral from an active member. We say no to about a third of applicants. The size is the constraint.
The team
Two people run this.
The two co-founders work alongside one ops partner who handles event ops + content tagging + member moderation. She has a login scoped to those surfaces only — never sees billing data, financial reports, or applications under review. Roles matter. The size is the constraint.
